De eerste editie van WWE Payback vindt morgen plaats in de Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Tijdens Payback stapt ‘home town hero’ CM Punk, voor het eerst sinds zijn WrestleMania nederlaag tegen The Undertaker, weer in de ring. Hij neemt het op tegen Chris Jericho.
Allstate Arena
Het is niet de eerste keer dat ‘The Second City Saint’ en ‘Y2J’ elkaar treffen in de legendarische Allstate Arena. Tijdens WWE Extreme Rules 2012 stonden de twee Superstars tegenover elkaar in een ‘Chicago Streetfight’.
De meest legendarische match uit de carrière van CM Punk vond ook plaats in de Allstate Arena. Voor een uitzinnig publiek won Punk de WWE Championship van John Cena tijdens Money in the Bank 2011.
Dolph Ziggler
World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler keert tijdens WWE Payback ook terug in ‘the squared circle’. ‘The Showoff’ was ruim een maand uitgeschakeld vanwege een zware hersenschudding. Tijdens Payback verdedigt Ziggler zijn World Heavyweight Championship tegen Alberto Del Rio.
