Wij bij SportAmerika.nl zijn wel in voor een rap zo nu en dan. Zo ook Trevor Bauer, werper voor de Cleveland Indians. Nadat hij eerder kwaad bloed zette bij zijn diss over de Arizona Diamondbacks (die hem kort daarvoor hadden gedumpt in de three way trade die Nederlander Didi Gregorius van de Cincinnati Reds naar de Dbacks bracht) komt hij dit keer met een meer upbeat nummer.
In de rap ‘Cleveland Indians – Gutter to the Grail’ spreekt hij zijn vertrouwen uit in de Indians en natuurlijk kan het woordje ‘swag’ niet ontbreken.
Enkele juweeltjes:
“From the gutter to the grail, we rise up to win it. Wahoos on first with our eyes on the pennant. Going all in, Cleveland Indians. From the gutter to the bling now they call us champions.”
“We flash leather for days, Kip and Cabby amaze with the top ten plays. Cody Allen turn the heat up. Reynolds hitting clean up. You know we never ease up.” (Up, a word so nice, I rhyme with it thrice)
“So what do y’all know about Swisher and his swags? Smoking pitchers like cigars, are you picturing that?”
Maar goed, beluister het eerlijk gezegd best wel grappige nummer hieronder. Saillant detail: de awesome Indians zijn zo goed dat ze nog geen plek hebben gevonden voor Bauer, die daarom nu in AAA speelt. YOLO!
