John Cena verdedigt zijn WWE Championship tijdens SummerSlam tegen Daniel Bryan. ‘The Champ’ kreeg van Raw General Manager Brad Maddox de vrijheid om zijn SummerSlam opponent zelf te selecteren, de keuze van Cena viel op de immens populaire Bryan.
De verwachting is dat The Bella Twins (Brie & Nikkie) de komende weken een rol gaan spelen in de strijd tussen de twee Superstars. John Cena date sinds kort met Nikki en Daniel Bryan heeft al een aantal jaren een relatie met Brie.
SummerSlam vindt plaats op zondag 18 augustus in het STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.
